I love that you referred to the list of actions to get the car going as a litany! There is a short litany of saints in the first Eucharistic prayer during a Catholic Mass and a longer litany of saints at the Easter Vigil, but there are some beautiful litanies prayed privately or in other contexts outside of formal liturgy too. My favorites are The Litany of Trust and The Litany of Humility. If you look them up, you’ll see that using the term was a great comparison, for the repeated responses, etc.
